These efforts are aligned with the vision of transforming Uttar Pradesh into a $1 trillion economy. As part of this vision, UPSIDA is prioritising the logistics and warehousing sector to build a robust industrial base. Through the Uttar Pradesh Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022, the state govt is offering incentives to investors, including financial assistance, tax benefits, and support for setting up storage and logistics units on private land.UPSIDA has taken a significant step to strengthen agricultural infrastructure by approving eight new projects across various districts. These include five silo projects, two warehousing projects, and one logistics project. The projects will be developed in Unnao (TGC area), Auraiya, Balrampur, Shravasti, Sultanpur, Lucknow (Ex-LIDA), Gautam Buddha Nagar (YEIDA), Hapur, and Unnao districts. These projects will cover approximately 110 acres of land, with an investment of around Rs 800 crore. With the approval of these eight new projects, 61 projects have now been approved by UPSIDA under the Warehousing and Logistics Policy-2022 and the PIP policy. These projects will be developed across approximately 810 acres, with a proposed investment exceeding Rs 12,900 crore. These initiatives will enhance safe storage capacity for food grains and provide farmers with improved storage and logistics facilities. Additionally, they will promote the development of multi-modal logistics hubs, warehouse clusters, and modern distribution centres. These projects are also expected to play a significant role in employment generation and in strengthening the state’s logistics ecosystem. The objective of the state’s logistics policy is to position Uttar Pradesh as a major logistics hub by providing a supportive and modern infrastructure environment for investors. The policy promotes the establishment of multi-modal logistics hubs, warehouse clusters, silo projects, cold chains, and distribution centres. It also aims to enhance ease of doing business by offering various incentives and facilitation measures.“UPSIDA is committed to ensuring that policy incentives reach investors through a simple, transparent, and time-bound process. We are not only focused on attracting investments but also on ensuring their effective implementation. Our goal is to establish Uttar Pradesh as a logistics hub driven by efficiency, convenience, and trust. In the coming years, we aim to unlock even greater investment opportunities in the logistics sector, thereby accelerating the state’s progress towards becoming a $1 trillion economy.
