Bengaluru: A 22-year-old warehouse worker was allegedly beaten to death with a hammer by his friend in their rented house on the city outskirts on Monday midnight following a dispute.Police arrested the accused, Mohammed Nasarulla, 24, within three hours of the crime. The deceased has been identified as Kunal Kumar, 22, both residents of Attimara in Goravigere near Kannamangala and natives of Bihar. Nasarulla worked in the cold storage of a warehouse, while Kumar worked in another warehouse as a helper.The incident occurred around 12.30am at their house. Primary investigation revealed Nasarulla was upset as Kumar allegedly abused his mother and sister using foul language repeatedly over the past 15 days over some minor issues.Similarly, on Monday midnight, the duo got into an argument over a trivial issue. Kumar again abused Nasarulla’s mother. Enraged by the continued provocation, Nasarulla attacked Kumar with a hammer, fatally injuring him, and escaped from the house. Another roommate of the duo informed police about the incident.Avalahally police registered a case under BNS section 103(1) (murder) and nabbed Nasarulla near KR Pura railway station while he was allegedly attempting to flee.
