Ahmedabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday recovered gold, silver and cash worth Rs 51.8 lakh from a bank locker linked to a senior intelligence officer arrested recently in a bribery case. The accused, Ketan Dave (40), was posted as a senior intelligence officer with the State Intelligence Bureau at the Sanand centre. A case was registered against him on March 15 at Gandhinagar under provisions of the Prevention of Corruption Act.As part of the ongoing probe, an ACB team from Mehsana searched a locker held jointly by Dave and his wife at a branch of Central Bank of India in Sector 16 on Tuesday. Cash was also found in the locker. The total value of the seized items has been estimated at Rs 51.8 lakh, officials said.Earlier, the ACB had laid a trap near Sargasan crossroads in Gandhinagar, where Dave was allegedly caught red-handed while accepting the bribe inside the complainant’s car.
