Police inspect mosques, review arrangements on Eid-ul-Fitr eve | Kanpur News
Kanpur: Deputy commissioner of police (South) Deependra Nath Chaudhary visited Bagahi Mosque in the Babupurwa police station area and Machariya Mosque in the Naubasta area to assess security measures for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival.He interacted with imams, mosque management committees and locals to review arrangements and issued necessary instructions to the officials concerned. Additional deputy commissioner of police Yogesh Kumar, the ACPs of Babupurwa and Naubasta, the station in-charges of Babupurwa and Naubasta, and all relevant outpost in-charges were present.According to the lunar sighting on Friday, Eid-ul-Fitr prayers are to be held at the Eidgah in Bajaria. Traffic diversions will be implemented from 6:00 am until the end of the prayers. Vehicles coming from Lal Imli intersection will not proceed towards Bakarmandi slope and Bajarhia intersection from Colonelganj intersection (Chunniganj intersection) and ill be diverted at Colonelganj intersection.Vehicles from Gol intersection and Hallet Hospital will not be allowed to proceed towards Eidgah intersection from Benajhabar tri-junction and will be diverted via Chandni Nursing Home.Vehicles coming from Jarib Chowki (P-Road) will not proceed towards Bajaria intersection from Rambagh intersection. They will be diverted at Rambagh intersection.Similarly, traffic coming from 80 Feet Road will not proceed towards Eidgah intersection from Brahmanagar intersection. They will proceed towards their destination via Ram Bagh tri-junction by turning right from Brahmanagar intersection.Vehicles coming from Halim College intersection (Nala Road) will not be allowed to proceed towards Bajaria police station intersection. They may proceed towards their destination by turning left from Sisamau Bara intersection.Traffic coming from Ashok Nagar intersection intending to go towards Eidgah intersection via Harshnagar tri-junction may proceed towards their destination by turning left from Harshnagar tri-junction via Virendra Swaroop Park tri-junction. Meanwhile, namazis coming from Lal Imli intersection may park their two-wheelers and four-wheelers on both sides of the road on the way to Shani Dev Temple tri-junction from Chunniganj intersection. Those coming from Jarib Chowki (P-Road) may park their two-wheelers and four-wheelers on both sides of the road on P-Road before Ram Bagh tri-junction.
