‘Ekka – The One’ art exhibition reimagines the‘64 Yoginis’ | Nagpur News

Nagpur: A blend of history, spirituality and contemporary expression came alive at the Press Club auditorium in Civil Lines as ‘Ekka – The One’, a national travelling art exhibition, opened its doors on Friday. The exhibition was inaugurated by Union minister Nitin Gadkari.Created by artist and documentary filmmaker Dr Beena S Unnikrishnan, the exhibition presents a striking reinterpretation of the 64 Yoginis associated with temple traditions dating back to 9th and 12th centuries. Through series of contemporary paintings, the works move beyond conventional depictions, offering a narrative of power, and feminine energy. The exhibition will remain open till March 23.
