Bengaluru: A three-and-a-half-year-old girl walking with her mother was crushed to death under the wheels of a rashly driven truck near Nelamanagala Saturday morning. The victim is Nishtia LN, elder daughter of Lakshminarayana and Lavanya. Lavanya, who was carrying her 11-month-old boy in her arms, watched helplessly as the truck ran over her daughter around 11.30am.Police said Lavanya, a homemaker, was visiting a temple. “They were walking along the left lane of the congested road when the truck, driven by Murthy, knocked down Nishita. Murthy fled the scene, leaving behind the vehicle,” a police officer said. In another accident, two factory workers astride a motorbike died after colliding with a KSRTC bus in Tumakuru district Saturday. The victims are T Narasimhamurthy, 25, and Naveen S, 27.
