KMC meet on sanitation arrangements for Navaratri, Eid | Kanpur News

Kanpur: The Kanpur municipal corporation (KMC) has deployed sanitary workers to ensure cleanliness in the city for Navarati and Eid, officials said.Mayour Pramila Panday on Wednesday convened a meeting of all zonal officers and the Jalkal department to discuss sanitation arrangements at the temples and Eidgahs. She directed that the condition of approach roads to temples, mosques and Eidgahs should be improved, sewer manholes should be covered and drains should be covered with slabs. Arrangements should be made for the temporary decorations at temples, mosques and Eidgahs.Municipal Commissioner Arpit Upadhyay said officials should verify the staff presence on site and prepare and submit an immediate action plan for work being done on the approach roads.Jalkal GM Anand Kumar Tripathi said tankers had been arranged at every bhandara event during Navaratri and tankers would also be arranged at 16 locations during Eid festivities.
