Kanpur: A 35-year-old farmer, Lakhan, a resident of village Gaisingpur under the Mohammadabad Kotwali area in Farrukhabad district was found murdered on Tuesday morning.Lakhan was sleeping on a cot on the platform outside his house on Monday night. When family members went to wake him on Tuesday morning and removed his quilt, they found he had been attacked with a sharp-edged weapon near the neck. Family members said he had no enmity with anyone. However, the reason for the murder was not ascertained. Police took the body into custody and started the investigation. tnn
