AMC marks heat hotspots in east | Ahmedabad News
Ahmedabad: A release by Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) on Tuesday indicated that, based on data analysis by a city-based startup, the land surface temperature (LST) is likely to be higher than normal in areas such as Odhav, Ramol, Hathijan, Vastral, Sardarnagar, Naroda, Vatva, and a few spots in Chandkheda and Sabarmati.On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in the city was 36.9 degrees celsius, which was 0.3 degrees lower than normal. At 22.7 degrees, the minimum temperature was 1.6 degrees higher than normal. According to India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the maximum and minimum temperatures on Wednesday are likely to be around 37°C and 24°C respectively.Across Gujarat, the maximum temperature is set to rise by 2-3 degrees celsius over the next 48 hours, whereas there will be no large change in minimum temperatures, the forecast indicated. At 37.3°C, Amreli had the highest maximum temperature, followed by 36.9°C in Ahmedabad, 36.8°C in Deesa, and 36.7°C in Vallabh Vidyanagar, among others.
