Mercury to climb again after brief dip in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: The maximum temperature in Ahmedabad city on Monday was 36.5 degrees celsius, 0.7 degrees below normal. The minimum temperature, on the other hand, was recorded at 23.6 degrees, which was 2.5 degrees above normal.According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast, the maximum and minimum temperatures in the city on Tuesday were likely to be around 37 degrees and 23 degrees, respectively.The impact of a western disturbance was evident, with lower-than-normal maximum temperatures recorded across the region. Keshod recorded the highest maximum temperature at 37.9 degrees, followed by 37.7 degrees in Rajkot, 37.5 degrees in Kandla, and 37 degrees in Porbandar, among others.According to the IMD forecast for the state, temperatures are expected to gradually rise by 2–3 degrees over the next three days before stabilising. There will be no major change in minimum temperatures, the forecast added.
