Man steals LPG cylinder from house; drives away on motorbike | Chennai News
Chennai: Even as LPG crisis is starting to wane, an unidentified person walked into a house in Tiruvallur on Monday morning and stole a cooking gas cylinder from the kitchen when the family members were busy with their daily routine.According to police sources, Shainsha, was upstairs with his wife in a room, getting their children ready for school. During then, the door of a room on the ground floor of the house was left open.An unidentified youth entered the house and went to the kitchen, detached the gas cylinder connected to the stove, and carried it away. The suspect then reportedly attached the cylinder on a motorcycle and fled from the spot.A little later, Shainsha’s wife came downstairs to the kitchen to start cooking and found the cylinder missing.The family checked CCTV cameras installed in the area and found footage showing a youth entering the house and stealing the gas cylinder. Shainsha lodged a complaint with police. Police are examining the CCTV footage, in which the suspect’s face and registration number of the motorcycle are visible. Further investigation is underway.
