State focuses on awareness, documentation ahead of FYJC season | Pune News
Pune: Director of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Mahesh Palkar, has issued a circular to all divisional deputy directors and secondary education officers to ensure a smooth and streamlined centralised online admission process for First-Year Junior Colleges (FYJC) across the state. The circular directs officials to set up guidance centres in govt and aided schools. These centres will conduct awareness sessions to help students and parents accurately complete online application forms within the stipulated time.“We have instructed officials to ensure that schools organise awareness sessions, as many parents are still unfamiliar with the online admission process. It is equally important to inform them about the documents required during FYJC admissions. Certificates such as caste and non-creamy layer documents are essential for students applying in certain categories. Each category has specific documentation requirements to establish eligibility. Through these sessions, we aim to ensure that parents and students are fully prepared before the admission process begins,” said Palkar, adding that the admission schedule will be announced soon. While filling Part 1 of the application form, students must upload the necessary documents to verify their marks and reservation status. Original copies of these documents will need to be submitted at the time of confirming admission.Students seeking admission to Std XI in state board schools must complete the online registration process on the official portal, fill in the application form, upload relevant documents, and participate in the admission rounds. Students from other boards are also eligible to apply.Additionally, for all categories of seats, including minority, management, and in-house quotas, online registration and adherence to the prescribed process are mandatory.
