Rajinikanth rejects TVK leader’s claim that 'DMK pressure' derailed his entry into  politics

CHENNAI: Actor Rajinikanth on Tuesday said remarks made by Aadhav Arjuna about him were “not true” and thanked political leaders, film personalities and fans who voiced their support.In a post on X, Rajinikanth said Arjuna, who holds a leadership role in Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, made statements about him that were contrary to facts. He expressed gratitude to leaders across parties, including Leader of Opposition Edappadi K Palaniswami and Nainar Nagendran, along with Union minister L Murugan and others, for condemning the remarks.

He also thanked members of the film industry, the media, and his fans, whom he described as his strength.He concluded his post with the remark, “Time will not speak, but it will wait and answer.”Last week, Arjuna alleged that Rajinikanth faced pressure from the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam when he attempted to enter politics, and suggested that such intimidation held him back. He also claimed that Vijay, president of TVK, showed the resolve to withstand similar pressure.The remarks triggered reactions from several political leaders, particularly from the BJP and AIADMK, who criticised the comments and sought an apology, bringing the issue into the wider political discourse ahead of the assembly elections.
