Mumbai: Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited has retained the top position in India’s power distribution utility rankings for the second consecutive year, scoring 92.5 in the latest Distribution Utilities Ranking (DUR) and Consumer Service Rating of DISCOMs (CSRD) released by the Union Ministry of Power with REC Limited.Among 66 utilities assessed nationwide, the Adani Group company secured an A+ rating for consumer service, driven by supply reliability, billing accuracy and effective grievance redressal. Serving over 30 lakh consumers in Mumbai, the utility has focused on operational efficiency, financial discipline and digitalisation, including advanced metering and analytics.A spokesperson for Adani Electricity said, “Retaining the top rank for the second consecutive year reflects the consistency of our operations and the trust of consumers. We remain committed to delivering reliable, efficient and resilient power supply in Mumbai.”Other top performers include Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited, Noida Power Company Limited, Dakshin Gujarat Vij Company Limited and BEST, underscoring increasing competition driven by governance, technology and consumer experience.
