Kanpur: Joint team of ADCP operations Sumit Sudhakar Ramteke and Rawatpur Police busted a gang involved in drug trafficking, in a raid near Polytechnic on Thursday and arrested two men and a woman for supplying ganja brought from Odisha. The traffickers said members of the gang used VIP trains like Tejas Express to evade arrest. Police seized about 50 kg marijuana from the accused—Akbar Ali alias Chingari from Unnao, Umesh Chandra Rajput from Kakadeo and Salmana Begum from Fatehgarh. tnn
