Kolkata: Two cyber fraud cases involving a combined loss of over Rs 18 lakh have been registered in Bidhannagar, with police probing an online task scam and a bank impersonation fraud, with both showing similar modus operandi as the online investment frauds.In the first case, Bidhannagar Cyber Crime PS registered an FIR dated March 20 , after a complaint over an alleged financial fraud through a fake e-commerce website. In the second case, New Town PS registered a case dated March 19 after a written complaint from a resident of Tarulia. TNN
